Hollywood blockbusters are marketed by using high budget methods such as film poster which are applied everywhere of areas where the film is going to be presented, there are a variety of different poster using shapes and sizes to help present the film, paid advertisements in magazines and newspapers are used as well. Trailers are also a huge part of marketing a film, described as the backbone of promotion, aiming at the target market. Merchandise is another method of marketing as it comes in different forms such as collectables and promotional giveaways, even competitions to earn rare items from the film; this entices the public. Promotional tours can also attract the audience to market the film, promo tours include the cast and director/s to take part in interviews across the media. In addition, the films are marketed by internet marketing which means that paid advertisements on YouTube for instance are shown to help broadcast the film, this is also referred to as media marketing..
