Due to their double coat, a thick undercoat and a longer "guard" coat above that, Keeshonden need regular brushing. An hour per week will keep the dog comfortable and handsome. The Keeshond's coat sheds dirt when dry, and the breed is not prone to doggy odor, so only infrequent bathing is necessary. The coat acts as insulation and protects the dog from sunburn and insects, so shaving or clipping is not desirable. The coat also loses its distinct color as the black tipping on the hairs will be shorn off. If frequent brushing is too much effort, it is better to choose another breed rather than clip the Keeshond short.. Auschwitz. Auschwitz, located in Oswiecim, Poland, was the largest, most deadly of the death camps. It was established by the chief of the SS, Heinrich Himmler in April 1940. Auschwitz was the largest and most organized of all concentration/death camps. It was located in Oswiecim, a Polish town, more or less in the middle of Europe. It consisted of three main sections: Auschwitz I (concentration camp), Auschwitz II/ Birkeneau (killing center), and Auschwitz III (slave labor complex). The concentration camp portion was opened in June, 1940, and the other portions were opened later. From 1942 onward, Jews from all over Europe were sent to Auschwitz II by the thousands to be killed by the gas chambers. The Nazis used Zyklon B in the chambers and could kill 2,000 to 2,500 people at a time. To dispose the bodies faster, the Nazis built crematoria to burn the bodies in Auschwitz II. Auschwitz was also used to conduct medical experiments, which were performed by Dr. Josef Mengele. On January 27, 1945, Soviet forces finally reached Auschwitz, liberating all the surviving prisoners there, but found blown up crematoria, blown up gas chambers, and almost all the prisoners dead. In all 1.1 million people died at Auschwitz, 90% of them being Jewish. . http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Students-Of-History.
