Joint Expert Group on Dynamic Modelling (JEG DM) current status16th JEG DM meeting was held in October 2016 in Sitges, Spain, after no meeting organized in 2015.Bottom up interest in the group, several modeling groups active, expressed interest in the meeting.Next meeting tentatively planned October 2017.

2. JEG DM in 2016:18 experts, (Austria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Island, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and USA.ICP Waters, IM, M&M, TFIAM and the Bureau of the WGEReport from 2016 meeting almost finished.Discussion about future focus of JEG

3. JEG DM issues of concern:Nitrogen cycling and impacts. Efforts are being made to involve - and to be involved in - TFRNOzoneProgress on HM modelling, more neededBiodiversity, terrestrial and aquaticInteractions (N-P-C, climate change, land use)Extreme events

4. JEG DM issues discussed:Discussed science! Presented and discussed based on 19 excellent presentations by all participants.Call for data 2015 - 2017Time horizon: The current Gothenburg protocol has target year 2020. A lots of new information available since 2010, it should be brought into play to underpin and justify policies for air pollution reductions.Multiple drivers of change, synergistic and antagonistic effects which could also evolve over time. Results in increasing complexity and data-intensity of models. Simplifications needed for regional applications.Methodology for CL could be applied for ECCA countries as a regional extension.Discussed revision of Mapping ManualDiscussed CCE financingDiscussed work in USA where CL related work has significantly increased and expanded.

5. October 2017. Tentatively, Swedish EPA is likely to support in the same fashion as in previous years (organizing, chairing, reporting, and the cost of venue).Co-chair is a posibility.
