When
Pablo
was
7 his
father
gave him
artistic training
in figure drawing and oil painting.
Later on, Pablo
studied art in
Madrid, Spain. When
he was
about 19 he studied in Paris, France which was
considered the art capital of Europe.
Through-out his life Picasso also did ceramic and bronze sculptures,
drawings
, etchings and poetry. He also did paintings of other famous
artist's
paintings
but in his own style.

Classicism and Surrealism Period (1918-1945)

cubism, Picasso returned to more traditional patterns
and
this period is
known
as his Classicist

Much
of his work after 1927 is fantastic and visionary in character. Slide10
Picasso’s final works were a mixture of styles, his means of expression in
constantly changing until the end of his life. Devoting his full energies to his work, Picasso became more daring, his works more colorful and
expressive.
Picasso
died
of a heart attack
in 1973
in
Mougins
, France. He was
91 years old.
His
paintings are
among the
most expensive in the world
.
