Parent expectations1. Support your Son: Every parent wants what is best for his or her son. As coaches we want your son to learn baseball and life skills through a TEAM concept. What may be best for your son may not be what is best for the TEAM. Please support the team first, attend games, and encourage your son to fill his role on the team 100%.

2. Family Schedules: Family comes first, but please make travel plans, doctor’s appointments, and other family events around your son’s baseball schedule. If it is not possible, make sure to tell a coach the duration and reason prior to the absence.

3.

Support the Parent

Council:

The baseball

parent council works towards improving and supporting baseball at Bishop Miege. If you would like to see changes or wish to help, make plans to stick around for our meeting or speak to one of the parent council members.4. Concerns: If you have concerns about your son’s involvement with the team, please contact your son’s coach AFTER encouraging your son to talk to his coach FIRST. If you still have concerns, feel free to contact a coach to set up a time to meet with your son. Before and after games are not available. Playing time will only be discussed with your son present.Slide10

Summer BaseballIn the past we have offered a summer baseball team to play a tournament schedule, usually through 3&2. With the traveling team commitments for many of our players cutting into numbers, we will no longer field a summer team. If your son is looking for a summer baseball team, please see Coach Meara and we’ll look into some options.Slide15

Baseball Parent CouncilThe Baseball Parent Council organizes events and supports the baseball program for the spring season. Team dinners, between game meals, home game concession stands, senior night, the baseball banquet, and end of season planning are just a few of the many ways parents support the baseball program. If you are interested in supporting any of the three teams through time, talent, or treasure, please contact current parent president Kim Burdolski

at 913.579.8043 or kburdolski@kc.rr.com.Slide16
