IS MUHAMMAD THE LAST PROPHET OF GOD or IS JESUS CHRIST THE PROPHET PROPHECIED?Deut. 18:18; Isa 42:1-2; John 14:26 A LOOK AT THE FAITH OF ISLAM – Part 2

The Koran and the Bible Muslims believe the angel Gabriel revealed the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad a little at a time. The revelations began about A.D. 610 and continued until Muhammad's death in A.D. 632. They believe that the earthly book, bound between covers, is a copy of an eternal book that is kept in heaven. What will you find when you read the Koran? It is a disjointed, incoherent collection of contradictory laws. There is no fulfilled prophecy of claims of prophecy that predicted Muhammad or his work. Muslims must attack the Bible so that it will not be seriously examined. Here are their lines of attack.

The Koran and the Bible The Muslim lines of attack on the Bible: We do not have the original manuscripts (autographs) of the Bible. The original manuscripts were copied by fallible men and as a result every copy that we posses today contains errors. In fact, no two manuscripts are alike. Because these errors exist, then whatever was originally in the Bible is “unknowable” today. The copyists intentionally put their own “mischievous” beliefs into the text since the Bible records examples of sexual sins. One example he cites is that the Bible “displays lady's nude bathing! ( II-Samuel 11: 2-5 ).”

The Koran and the Bible Let us compare the assertions and charges of this fallible man to the promises of Jesus. ( Matthew 24:35 ). Matthew 24:35 (NKJV) - Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. The original ancient texts had to be copied by hand in order to be preserved. There are no original manuscripts in existence.

The Koran and the Bible However, honest scholars can easily determine if the present Bible was transmitted accurately or if there was some conspiracy to later change the text. We have at least 5,366 manuscripts of the Greek New Testament in existence today, in whole or in part, that testify to the accuracy of the New Testament. There are nearly complete manuscripts that date from 280 to 350 AD and there is a fragment that is dated around 125 AD.

The Koran and the Bible For the Old Testament we have the Dead Sea Scrolls that were written around 100 BC, which include a complete scroll of the book of Isaiah, along with other ancient manuscripts. When the text of Isaiah found in the Dead Sea Scrolls was compared to what had previously been the oldest known text of Isaiah (written 900 years later), the two texts matched word for word with only minor variations .

The Koran and the Bible Jesus read from one of these texts of Isaiah in His ministry and called it scripture ( Luke 4:16-21 )! By doing so He gave His approval for the accuracy and authority of these scrolls produced by copyists. What kind of “errors” are we talking about? The bulk of these differences are in spelling and word order that have absolutely no affect upon the meaning! For example The king Herod” verses “Herod the king” and “Jerusalem with Him” verses “all Jerusalem with Him”

The Koran and the Bible If some men had developed a conspiracy to deliberately change the text, then there should be numerous examples of major differences in these manuscripts. These kinds of differences simply do not exist. We challenge all to read the Bible and to read the Koran! YET I know that many Muslims will not take up this challenge!

The Koran and the Bible Consider one Muslim who was caught reading the Bible. “He asked me what I was reading. I told him and he responded angrily, "I fear lest you become a Christian." I was very much provoked at his reply and, although I did not wish to seem disrespectful, I could not help saying: "Why should I become a Christian? Does the mere reading of the New Testament make one a Christian? I am reading it in order to destroy Christianity root and branch. You should encourage me in this matter instead of finding fault with me." He replied: "I said this because I have heard that he who reads the New Testament becomes a Christian. Have you not heard what a certain poet has said: `When he reads the New Testament, the heart of the faithful one turns away from Islam'?" "This information is inaccurate," I replied. After giving me further counsel, the mawlavi returned to his room.” http://www.the-good-way.com/eng/article/a18.htm#1#1

THE SCRIPTURES TEACH…. Deuteronomy 18:20-22 “But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. 21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? 22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.” The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ The Ministry and Mission Muhammad’s call to be the prophet of Allah. Note: Allah is the Arabic word for God or the term used for the Islamic concept of God. At age 40 (A.D. 610), Muhammad claims that the angel Gabriel came to him and revealed to him the truth of Allah. “Christian” Ebionite priest declares Muhammad to be “the prophet of this Arabic nation.” – Ibn Hisham , vol. 1, pt. 2, p. 73.

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ The Ministry and Mission The Ministry and Mission of Jesus. Jesus begins His public ministry to preach the gospel. John the Baptist preached the gospel and a baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins, preparing people for the coming of the Lord ( Luke 3 ). The true identity of Jesus as God’s Son was made abundantly clear at His baptism… Luke 3:21-22 (…"Thou art My beloved Son, in Thee I am well-pleased.“)

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ The Ministry and Mission Muhammad’s call to be the prophet of Allah. Muhammad claimed to be Allah’s final prophet of which the Scriptures of the Bible prophesied ( SURAH 26:196 of the Koran ). “Some of the friends of the apostle of Allah said to him, O apostle of Allah, tell us about yourself. He said, ‘Yes, I am the message of my father Abraham and the good news of my brother Jesus.’” – Dr. Haykyl , “Men Around the Messenger ” Muhammad claimed references to him had been removed by Jews and Christians ( SURAH 5:13 ). – NO PROOF!

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ The Ministry and Mission The Ministry and Mission of Jesus. Jesus preached the gospel: His mission to be the Savior of the world ( Mark 8:31; Luke 19:10 ). Unlike Muhammad, Jesus never sought to conquer lands and peoples and rule as an earthly king. Mark 10:45 (NASB) "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ The Ministry and Mission The Purpose & Mission of Muhammad. Muhammad believed his purpose was to be a “plain warner” who would admonish the people to change their ways for Allah ( Surah 71:2; 28:46 of the Koran ). “I am only a man like you” Surah 18:110, The Noble Quran

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ The Ministry and Mission Jesus claimed to be more than a man: He confessed to be the Christ, the Son of God, even God Himself! (“I AM”). John 8:58 (NASB) Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.“ (Compare to Exodus 3:14). Matt 16:15-17 (NASB) 15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." 17 And Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona , because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. -- See also Luke 4:16-21; John 4:25-26; Mat. 26:63-64; John 8:24; 10:36-38

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ The Purpose & Mission of Muhammad. Muhammad was dedicated to making Muslims who would reject idolatry: Note: Muslim = one who has submitted to the will of Allah or Islam. “Bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone without associates, and disavow al-Lat and al-Uzza [idols], and renounce rivals.” -- Ibn Ishaq , p. 115

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ The Purpose & Mission of Muhammad. In his youth, Muhammad was around much idolatry that took place at the Al-Ka’ba. Muhammad vowed that when he became a man, he would never bow down to idols. – Dr. A. Shalaby , Encyclopedia of Islamic History Muhammad would later on approve the use of idols. “But those who take for protectors (idols) other than Allah (say): ‘We only serve them in order that they may bring us nearer to Allah.” – SURAH 39:3, Ali Translation

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ The Purpose & Mission of Muhammad. Later, his humility (as “plain warner”) changed to pride and his purpose became the conqueror of infidels. His last public sermon given on Mount Arafat : “ After today there will no longer be two religions existing in Arabia. I descended by Allah with the sword in my hand, and my wealth will come from the shadow of my sword. And the one who will disagree with me will be humiliated and persecuted.” -- Ibn Hisham, vol. 3, pt. 6, p. 8 .

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ Methods of Conversion Muhammad: From love, patience, and gentleness to hatred, brute force, and threat of death. In the beginning, Muhammad showed patience and gentleness when teaching his doctrine to others: “There is no compulsion in religion. Truth stands out clear from error...” – Surah 2:256

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ Methods of Conversion Jesus: Used the power of the gospel (not violent coercion) to make disciples who chose to follow Him by their own free will . Jesus taught His disciples to leave judgment of those who rejected the gospel up to God: Matt 10:14-15 (NASB) 14 "And whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake off the dust of your feet. 15 "Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ Methods of Conversion Muhammad expressed love for those who rejected his message: “O Mecca, I swear you are the closest city to my heart , and if it weren’t for your people who forced me out, I wouldn’t have left.” – Ibn Kathir , The Beginning and the End, vol. 2, pt. 3, p. 215.

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ Methods of Conversion Those who became followers of Jesus would be strictly volunteers in His service and not coerced in any way. Messianic Prophecy: Psalm 110:3 … “Thy people will volunteer freely in the day of Thy power…”

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ Methods of Conversion Rather than show wrath and violence against unbelievers, Muhammad taught his followers to take care of themselves and leave judgment of them up to Allah ( Surah 5:105 ). Muhammad had at one time a more gentle approach to spreading his message because Muslims were few in number and were severely persecuted. In time, love, patience, and gentleness were replaced with hatred, force, and threat of death .

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ Methods of Conversion Jesus used the power of the gospel ( Mark 1:14-15; Rom. 1:16 ) (not the sword) to create faith in people’s hearts ( Rom. 10:17 ) and make disciples. He gave evidence by the miracles He wrought that He was the Son of God and that His message came from God ( Mat. 4:23; 12:38-40; John 2:23; 14:11 ).

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ Methods of Conversion Muhammad had worked to form powerful alliances to protect himself against his enemies and raised his army of soldiers. Jesus Did Not Encourage nor Command Physical Violence as a solution: John 18:36; Matt. 26:52-54; 2 Cor. 10:4-5 13 years after his call to be Allah’s prophet, Muhammad now declared that Allah had instructed him to fight against the enemies of Islam (Jihad). – Ibn Ishaq , p. 280 . Jihad (“struggle” in Arabic) = Holy war, fighting those who resist Islam.

“Those who reject Islam must be killed. If they turn back (from Islam), take (hold of) them and kill them wherever you find them…” – SURAH 4:89, The Noble Quran “Fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism, i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world].” – SURAH 8:39, The Noble Quran “Let not the Unbelievers think that they can get the better (of the godly): they were never frustrate (them). Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies…” – SURAH 8:59-60, Ali Translation THE CALL TO ARMS & DEATH

“So, when you meet( in fight – Jihad in Allah’s Cause) those who disbelieve, smite (their) necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e., take them as captives)” . – SURAH 47:4, The Noble Quran “Say to those who have believed, if they cease (from disbelief), their past will be forgiven. But if they return (thereto), then the examples of those (punished) before them have already preceded (as a warning).” – SURAH 8:38, The Noble Quran “Kill the Mushrikun wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush. But if they repent and perform As-Salat [prayers] and give Zakat [charity tax], then leave their way free.” -- SURAH 9:5, The Noble Quran THE CALL TO ARMS & DEATH

THE CALL TO ARMS & DEATH Note: Some liberal Muslims speak of Jihad as a spiritual struggle against evil in a metaphorical sense: “Peaceful Jihad” (i.e., peaceful struggle against evil) or a “Personal Jihad” (i.e., internal struggle to toward submission to Allah). However, Jihad in the Koran is not metaphorical! The Koran teaches Muslims to literally fight a Jihad against the infidels. Compare to figurative passages (e.g., Isaiah 44:23; Rev. 5:6 ). A Muslim is not a true Muslim unless he follows these passages of Jihad found in the Koran!

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ Teaching on How to Be Saved Muhammad taught that people must worship Allah only, believe Muhammad to be Allah’s prophet, and follow the Quran (Koran). Muhammad taught a meritorious law system : Each person earns salvation by their good deeds outweighing their bad deeds as determined on Judgment day

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ Teaching on How to Be Saved Jesus taught that a person must believe in Him to gain the free gift of eternal life ( John 4:10-14 ) and that true faith is shown by obedience to the gospel. John 14:6 (NASB) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. Mark 16:16 (NASB) "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ Teaching on How to Be Saved “Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction. But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light, will have his home in a (bottomless) pit.” – SURAH 101:6-9, The Holy Quran “It is Allah who has sent down the Book in Truth, and the Balance (by which to weigh conduct). And what will make thee realise that perhaps the Hour is close at hand?” – SURAH 42:17, The Holy Quran -- See also Surah 6:73ff, 18:99ff, 20:102ff, 23:101ff, 27:87ff, 36:48ff, 39:68ff, 50:20ff, 78:18ff .

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ Teaching on How to Be Saved Jesus taught His disciples to love God and love other people ( Mat. 22:37-38 ) including their enemies (Mat. 5:44) and to demonstrate their love to the Lord by obedience to God’s word ( John 14:15 ). Rather than merit or earn heaven through law-keeping (which is impossible – Rom 3:20; Titus 3:5-7 ), the Christian performs works of faith ( James 2:14-26 ). Every person will be judged according to their deeds ( 2 Cor. 5:10 ), yet no person will merit salvation; Salvation is by grace through faith Eph 2:8-10 (NASB) “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; … 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,..”

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ How to Receive Forgiveness Muhammad could not provide a way of forgiveness nor offer any assurances of pardon from Allah in the present life ( Surah 9:80 ). In Islamic theology, there is a distinction made between “great sins” and “little sins.” The type of sin committed determines the procedure for forgiveness. Muhammad taught that a Muslim could earn forgiveness by fighting in a Jihad and/ or dying for Islam.

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ How to Receive Forgiveness Jesus, unlike Muhammad, had authority on earth to forgive sins ( Mark 2:10 ). Jesus is the Savior of the world who provides the way of forgiveness! ( John 1:29 ). Jesus’ death on the cross achieved the forgiveness of our sins. Matt 26:28 (NASB) for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. Luke 24:46-47 (NASB) 46 and He said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and rise again from the dead the third day; 47 and that repentance for forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Muhammad vrs. Jesus Christ How to Receive Forgiveness “O you who believe! Shall I guide you to a trade that will save you from a painful torment? That you believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives: that you will be better for you, if you but know! (If you do so) He will forgive you your sins , and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow…” -- Surah 61:10-13, The Noble Quran

Muhammad vrs. Jesus Christ How to Receive Forgiveness Those who obey the gospel of Christ receive the forgiveness of sins immediately ( Acts 2:38 ). Jesus, as High Priest, intercedes for the Christian, making propitiation (atonement) for sin possible ( Heb. 2:17-18 ) (Muhammad could not do this! – Surah 18:110). Christians can continue to receive forgiveness when they repent and confess their sins to God ( Acts 8:22; 1 John 1:9 ).

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ What Assurance of Salvation Muhammad provides no hope or confidence in one’s salvation, only doubt, uncertainty, and fear. Islam teaches a doctrine similar to the false teaching of Calvinism that distorts the biblical doctrine of predestination.

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ What Assurance of Salvation Jesus Christ provides a living hope of heaven, blessed assurance, and confidence in one’s salvation ( John 14:1-2 ).

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ What Assurance of Salvation While a person is still in his/ her mother’s womb, Allah predetermines what this person’s deeds will be, when he will die, how he will make a living, and whether he will go to hell or paradise. Sooner or later, a person’s predetermined destiny will take over regardless of whether he had lived an evil or good life for Allah. -- “ The Correct Books of Bukhari, vol. 4, bk. 55, no. 549 .

Muhammad vrs . Jesus Christ What Assurance of Salvation 1 Peter 1:3-4 (NASB) “3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you ,”

Muhammad vrs. Jesus Christ What Assurance of Salvation Jesus Is the Way to Eternal Life Muhammad leads only to the misery of a meritorious law system, to violence, hatred, fear, and doubt in one’s salvation. Jesus leads us to spiritual life with God and the true rest of our souls! Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV) 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Things Concerning The Resurrection Of Jesus The Bible clearly teaches that "God" raised up Jesus from the dead (read Acts 2:24 ). Furthermore, this information is found only in the Gospel (read 2 Timothy 2:8 ). Believing that God raised up Jesus from the dead is important enough that man cannot be saved without this belief: Romans 10:9-10 " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Things Concerning The Blood Of Jesus The “Propitiation” - God accepted Christ’’s blood as an appeasement of His justifiable wrath. 1 John 2:2 states, " and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world." Notice that the scope of the propitiation is the whole world! It is not man’’s obedience (which is certainly necessary on man’’s part for salvation, Heb. 5:9 ) that satisfies the penalty for sin but the blood of Christ. God Himself declares Christ’’s death to be the acceptable sacrifice for Sin.

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Things Concerning The Blood Of Jesus The “Propitiation” - This does not mean that everyone has been saved by Christ’’s death, but that "the way" has been provided for anyone who desires to be saved through Christ’’s death ( John 14:6; Rom. 3:25-26 ). In this propitiation we see God’’s love for man ( John 3:16; Rom. 5:8-10; I John 4:9; I John 4:9-10 ). This means that those who do not understand this have not seen God’’s love. Have you?

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam We have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of our sins Eph. 1:7 states, "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;" Whatever method that Islam prescribes for forgiveness of sins is sorely lacking in effectiveness or ability. The meaning of redemption is "to release on payment of ransom" and the price paid was the life of Christ (read Romans 4:25; Matt. 20:28 ).

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Ratified the New Covenant Jesus blood, that appeases God’’s wrath and saves man, is the blood of the New Testament ( Matt. 26:28 ). And that’s not the Koran! In His new covenant He states all that is necessary for man to do in order that he might have eternal life ( 2 Pet. 1:2-3; 2 Tim. 3:16-18; Heb. 13:20-21 ). As Christians we are "complete" in Him ( Col. 2:10 ).

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Purchased the Church, Acts 20:28 The church, His body ( Eph. 1:22-23 ) belongs to Him. (see I Cor. 6:20 ). "How" one receives the remission of their sins and becomes a member of Christ’’s church is explained in I Peter 1:18-22 . They had purified their souls "by obeying the truth" ( I Pet. 1:22 ). The blood of Christ provides the "way" of salvation, but we must obey the truth if we want salvation. (What is the truth? It is "the gospel" as stated in Eph. 1:13, and Col. 1:5 .) Later, in I Pet. 3:21 , Peter identifies "when" or at what point this cleansing of all our sins takes place at Baptism ( I Pet. 3:21 ).

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Purchased the Church, Acts 20:28 Reading Acts 2:38 along with 2:41 will show when one is baptized for the remission of their sins that they are added to Christ’s church. Jesus is the head of the church, and the "savior of the body" ( Col. 1:18 ). The "body" that makes up the saved is the church ( Eph. 1:22-23 ). The church is the saved here on this earth! Can one be saved without being a part of that which is the saved? When one is baptized they put on Christ and become spiritually a child of God ( Gal. 3:26-27 ). Unlike Christians, Muslims are not baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins ( Acts 2:38 ).

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Destroyed Satan’s power, Heb. 2:14 Jesus through death and the resurrection destroyed Satan’s "power of death" because of sin ( Heb. 2:14; read I Cor. 15:56-57 )

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Gives us Boldness in Prayer Muslims pray several times a day. Christians can approach God’s presence any time knowing Christ ever lives there to make intercession for us (Romans 8:34).

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Cleanses Christians As Long As They Walk In The Light, 1 John 1:7 Muslims are not baptized for the remission of sins ( Acts 2:38 ), nor do they walk in the light of Christ’s Word the New Testament.

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Islam Denies The Purpose Of Jesus’’ Ascension To Heaven A. That repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name, Lk.24:44-49 This is what Peter preached as recorded in Acts 2:38 , "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Islam Denies The Purpose Of Jesus’’ Ascension To Heaven B. To Receive Glory, 1 Peter 1:18-23 God raised Jesus and "gave Him glory" that man’’s faith and hope might be in the God who raised him! Notice that the distinct belief in God that offers the hope of redemption (read all these verses) is a belief wherein one comes by or through Christ to believe in God. John 5:24 , "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.“

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Islam Denies The Purpose Of Jesus’’ Ascension To Heaven Again, in John 12:44 "Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me." And in John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Did God impose upon all the world the obligation to seek Christ? It says "no man"!

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Things Concerning Christ And The Resurrection Day, John 11:25 Islam says that it believes in a resurrection day. The Bible teaches that Jesus is the resurrection and the life ( John 11:25; 2 Cor. 4:14; Col. 3:1-4 ). Those who do not obey the Gospel will be ashamed on that Day the Lord comes again ( 2 Th. 1:8-9; I John 2:28 ).

Things Found In Christ, Not Found In Islam Things Concerning Jesus And The Wrath To Come, Rom. 5:9 "Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him." ( John 3:16; I Thes. 1:10; 2 Th. 1:7-9 ).

Islam Does Not Mean Peace Islam only means peace to Muslims who blindly submit. To Christians Islam means war, persecution and death. The Qur'an says: "Fight and slay the pagans [Christians] wherever ye find them and seize them, confine them, and lie in wait for them in every place of ambush" ( Surah 9:5 )

According to A Basic Dictionary of Islamic Words by M Zakiuddin Sharfi , Islam means, "Submission or resignation to the will of Allah, completely. He does not define salaam, but does note that one of the ninety-nine attributes of Allah is as-Salam, meaning "The Peaceful One’’ A common greeting is Arabic is "as-Salam- u’Alaikum ." This means "Peace be upon you." It is easy to see that it is not Islam, but Salam. Do not be deceived by claims that Islam means peace. It means submission. Islam has always been a religion of violence. Islam Does Not Mean Peace

Notice the teaching of the Qur’an: "Fight and slay the pagans [Christians] wherever ye find them and seize them, confine them, and lie in wait for them in every place of ambush" ( Surah 9:5 ) "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the last day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and his apostle nor acknowledge the religion of truth of the people of the Book (the Jews and the Christians) until they pay the Jizya [tax on non-Muslims] with willing submission and feel themselves subdued." ( Surah 9:29 ) "Those who follow Muhammad are merciless for the unbelievers but kind to each other." ( Qur'an 48:29 ) "Enmity and hatred will reign between us until ye believe in Allah alone." ( Qur'an 60:4 )

Notice the teaching of the Qur’an: Say to the Unbelievers, if (now) they desist (from Unbelief), their past would be forgiven them; but if they persist, the punishment of those before them is already (a matter of warning for them). And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God altogether and everywhere; but if they cease, verily God doth see all that they do. ( Qur'an 8:37-39 )

Notice the teaching of the Qur’an: And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God; but if they cease, Let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression. ( Qur'an 2:193 ) “Fight the unbelievers in your surroundings, and let them find harshness in you." ( Qur'an 9:123 ) "For he who believes in the Trinity, "the Fire will be his abode …… a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemer." Qur'an (5:72-73 )

Notice the teaching from the Hadith: "You (the Jews) should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle and I wish to expel you from this land (Arabia) ( Hadith, 4363 ) "I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslims." ( Hadith Sahih 4366 )

3 Reasons Islam Is Not From God Islam cannot be from God because the prophet of Islam, Muhammad, did not pass God's first test for a prophet. Deuteronomy 18:21-22 tells us that God will authenticate those He sends as a prophet by having them perform signs. Muhammad gave no sign as required by God. Muslims recognize this and try to overcome the principle of God confirming his revelation with signs by asserting that the revelation of the Qur’an itself is a sign. When Muhammad was challenged by the Jews and Christians to produce a sign, he received a special revelation from Allah.

3 Reasons Islam Is Not From God Qur'an 6:37-39, 36 . And they said: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: " Allâh is certainly Able to send down a sign, but most of them know not." 38. There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communitie like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered. 39. Those who reject Our Ayâât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) are deaf and dumb in darkness. Allâh sends astray whom He wills and He guides on the Straight Path whom He wills. Muslims claim that the Qur'an itself is the sign God gave Muhammad

3 Reasons Islam Is Not From God Islam cannot be from God because Muhammad's teaching does not pass the second test God gave for a prophet. Deuteronomy 13:1-4 tells us that no prophet will bring a revelation that is in conflict with previous revelation. His revelation must agree with the previous revelation of God. Deuteronomy 13:1-4

3 Reasons Islam Is Not From God Consider the differences in the facts presented about the lives of the Biblical characters. In the Qur’an Potiphar was at the door when Joseph fled. He wasn’t at home in the Bible Account. In the Qur’an , Potiphar believed Joseph while in the Bible Potiphar believed his wife. In the Qur’an , Joseph requested that he be put in prison so that he might avoid the temptation of women and in the Bible, he was imprisoned by Potiphar for accosting his wife. Surely it is easy to see the differences. Joseph is just a sample. There are other contradictions in almost every account of the lives of Bible people. In the Qur’an , one of Noah’s sons died in the flood while in the Bible, all of them were on the ark. Compare the Biblical account of Lot with the Qur’an’s account of Lot ( Lut in the Qur’an-NR). In the Qur’an , Abraham’s father was an idolater and forced Abraham to leave home for trying to teach monotheism, while the Biblical account has Abraham leaving after his father’s death.

3 Reasons Islam Is Not From God Islam cannot be from God because it denies the Godhood of Jesus. In the Qur’an, Muhammad takes great pains to deny the deity of Jesus. It demeans Jesus and makes him just a man. In Philippians, Paul asserts that Jesus existed in the form of God. Qur'an 4:171 "O people of the book! Commit no excesses in your religion: nor say of God naught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of God, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: So believe in God and His messengers..."

3 Reasons Islam Is Not From God ( Philippians 2:5-9 , NAS) 5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,

In Conclusion…. Islam has the wrong starting Date! Islam has the wrong starting Place! Islam has the wrong doctrine! Islam has no atonement for sins! Islam is a meritorious system of faith! ISLAM IS NOT OF GOD – IT IS OF MAN
