Regional Competitions are where teams have the opportunity to present their project(s) that relate to a specific need in one of three challenges:

Capital One Financial Education and Inclusion Challenge*******

TD Entrepreneurship Challenge

Scotiabank

EcoLiving

Green Challenge

Teams are allowed to present the same project in multiple competitions

However, Enactus teams should have three separate presentation teams to present (one in each challenge)Slide20

COMPETITION OVERVIEW -

regionals

Challenges have a special emphasis on a need that has been identified by the Enactus Canada National Office and a donor

This presentation is a complementary presentation that is separate from the Enactus Overall National CompetitionSlide21

COMPETITION OVERVIEW -

regionals

This is an opportunity to:

Foster relationships between donor representatives and Enactus teams

Provide more diverse challenges and presentation opportunitiesSlide22

COMPETITION OVERVIEW -

regionals

All teams compete at the Regional Expositions

Teams compete in leagues at each Regional Exposition

The winner of each league is chosen to go on to the final round of competition held at the National Exposition

You do not need to win at the Regional Competition to compete in the overall Enactus Competition at the National Exposition

Please utilize the appropriate competition handbooksSlide23

COMPETITION OVERVIEW – regionals (sample diagram)Slide24

COMPETITION OVERVIEW - nationals

All teams attend and compete at the National Exposition regardless of Regional Exposition results

This is the overall and most important competition of the entire Enactus year

All teams will compete based on the overall Enactus Judging Criterion

One rookie team will be named Rookie National Champion

From all Canadian teams, one overall National Champion will be selected to represent our country at the 2015

Enactus

World Cup in South AfricaSlide25

COMPETITION OVERVIEW - nationalsSlide26

The Judging processSlide27

The Judging process

Judges are taken through an in-depth orientation process.

A judge orientation video is used as part of this process.

The judging process is the same in every country!

Each Judge swears to uphold the Judges’ Oath.Slide28

The Judging process

During each presentation, Judges use the Individual Team Evaluation (ITE) Form to assess each team.

Judges use the

Cumulative Evaluation Form (CEF)

to assign ranks to teams.

One or more veteran judges serve as the League Coordinator and facilitate the competition process in the room.Slide29

The Judging process

Completed ITE Forms from all rounds of competition will be available for collection after competition. CEF however will not be made available to teams.

Remember, judges are evaluating you on how well all your projects meet the

overall

judging criterion. Slide30
