Annual application deadlines - no grace period
Fall semester - June

Apply once for the entire length of the grant
Apply for the semester student intends to start.
After application and approval, students have ten years to use the grant.
Delayed Application - students that graduate in 2017 have 10 years to apply & use the grant, or until 2027. Slide7

Grant Distributions
Recipients will be awarded
up to
$3,000 for the 2017-2018 school year.
A maximum of $1500 will be paid per semester.
Distribution will take place directly to the school. Slide9

Requirements to continue the grant past the first semester
Stay enrolled
at a Title IV accredited higher education institution or certified training
program
Maintain a 2.0
cumulative GPA (average)
If student’s cumulative GPA drops below 2.0, they are not eligible for the grant until they meet the 2.0 cumulative GPA again. https://weldcountybrightfutures.escholarshipsolutions.com/ - click on Bright Futures Log-in. This will automatically take the student into the eScholarship site. Step 2. At the eScholarship click on 'I’m a New Student' highlighted label This will automatically take them to the Create Account screen
