Tuesday, February 16th 1. adjacent – adj.- having a common boundary or edge; touching 2. ardent – adj.- full of strong feeling or devotion 3. sparse – adj.- scant; thinly spread 4. foretell - verb- to predict; to tell beforehand 5. exquisite – adj.- of extreme beauty; of the highest quality 6. fidget – verb- to move from restlessness or nervousness
Wednesday, February 17th 7. evasive – adj.- giving an unclear answer or behaving in a sneaky way 8. oppress – verb- to keep down unjustly or cruelly 9. deluge – noun- a heavy rain. A downpour; a great flood 10. census – noun- a government count of the population of a country 11. indefinite pronoun- does not refer to a specific person, place, thing, or idea and has no antecedent. Example: Many are eager to prove they have what it takes!
