Port of Baku
It is a main hub on the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) corridor that connects Europe via the Caucasus and Caspian Sea with Central Asia and China.
Its location will significantly impact on North-South corridor trade as well, allowing fast and reliable cargo services between Russia’s north-west and Persian Gulf states and Indian Ocean .
In order to keep up with the rapid economic growth in the Caspian Sea region and secure its place as an international player, the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan is investing heavily in infrastructure and economic regeneration with a number of redevelopment programmes. Slide10

Ferry Terminal:-
Important terminal in Euro-Asian trade via Caspian Sea.
Transshipments are done by CASPAR ferries, of which can handle 52 wagons and up to 100 cars .
Main cargo
Terminal:-
Handles Up to 2 million tons of general & dry cargo.
Can handle 3 vessels up to 150 wagons and 100 trucks simultaneously.

The current Baku International Sea Port business may be relocated to a new location by 2014 near town of Alyat, 65km south of Baku.

Poti Sea Port is one of the important links of the transport chain between Europe and Asia.
The 10th of the Trans-European Networks (TEN) is the shortest route, making TRACECA attractive for Euro-Asian cargo traffic.

Handling liquid, dry bulk and ferries as well as containers.
