The Summit/Akron Solid Waste Management Authority provides solutions and leadership to empower our community, institutions and businesses to develop and utilize environmentally sound, cost-effective recycling and waste management strategies.Slide13

Empower community stakeholders to innovate and adopt best practices to achieve zero waste

OBJECTIVES:

1.1 Define and demonstrate the environmental, economic and social impact of reuse, waste reduction and recycling

1.3 Utilize funding opportunities to leverage/encourage significant waste reduction, reuse and recycling strategies
