Joe never intended to be a hero that day, but when he decided to save a woman on his tour from drowning, he become one. The one passenger fell into the lake and almost drowned. Joe leapt into the lake and saved Mabel Mallison. E
ven though Joe was wearing his new clothes that he hoped would help get him a job, he still dove in. “
Without hesitation he dived overboard” proves he instantly reacted like a hero and didn’t think about himself. Despite ruining his clothes, he still saved Mabel from drowning, which makes him a selfless hero.
