The instrument used in this measurement is known as the audiometer. This is a subjective investigation, the accuracy of which is dependent on the response of the patient. Specifications are subject to change without notice. Copyright Audiometry refers to the measurement of auditory acuity with the use of an audiometer. . The audiometer generates pure tones of varying frequencies which get to the ear via ear phones. .
