4. Main PartsThe heart is the main engine of the circulatory system. It pumps blood throughout your body.The blood vessels (arteries, veins, and capillaries) are the tubes inside your body that blood flow through. The blood transports nutrients, gases, and waste through the blood vessels.
5. The BloodWe have two types of blood cells, white blood cells and red blood cells.White blood cells defend our body against infection and disease.Red blood cells transport oxygen from the lungs to every other part of the body.
