What is an invention? An invention usually fills a need or solves a problem. Inventions often make the world a better place .An invention often makes something better (e.g., faster, stronger, cheaper, easier, safer or more efficient, attractive, useful, accurate, fun, or productive). A s long as it’s a new way to do something, it’s still invention even if it isn’t necessarily better than what existed before. 3

Intent to Invent You will be handed a Intent to Invent worksheet. Fill out your name, teacher, and grade information. You will take it home to finish, have your parents or guardian sign it, and then return it to your teacher.
Problem The problem I intend to solve is:When I was in college would forget to bring my umbrella with me on rainy days because I didn’t always check the weather. Even when I carried my umbrella around I would lose it. (i.e.: leave it in a classroom, leave it in someone's office, etc.) When it rained most times, I get wet.
