G.S. 14 - 72.6 Page 1 § 14 - 72.6. Felonious larceny, possession, or receiving of stolen goods from a permitted construction site. (a) A person is guilty of a Class I felony if he commits any of the following offenses, where the goods are valued in excess of three hundred dollar s ($300.00) but less than one thousand dollars ($1,000): (1) Larceny of goods from a permitted construction site. (2) Possessing or receiving of stolen goods, with actual knowledge or having reasonable grounds to believe that the goods were stolen from a p ermitted construction site. (b) As used in this section, a "permitted construction site" is a site where a permit, license, or other authorization has been issued by the State or a local governmental entity for the placement of new construction or improvem ents to real property.
