Essa-mv requirements for districts MV Act Sec. 722 (g)(1)(J)(iv) - …local educational agencies in the State will adopt policies and practices to ensure participation by liaisons described in clause (ii) in professional development and other technical assistance activities provided pursuant to paragraphs (5) and (6) of subsection (f), as determined appropriate by the Office of the Coordinator. 5 5

A Bit O’ History NAEHCY PROJECT SHARING 2015 NAEHCY Shared Michigan’s developing program to increase the credibility of the homeless liaison role through professional development 2016 NAEHCY Shared the updated collaborative framework to allow each state, regional and local McKinney-Vento program to develop a Liaison Credentialing Program aligned to the new ESSA regulations and its own indicators of success 2017 NAEHCY Excited to share the rollout of the complete McKinney-Vento Liaison Credentialing Course: the completed project map of ALL modules, units and lessons for Liaisons, as well as the NEW core trainings for other district staff (required by the law), AND new training projects sparked from the original model 9
