Length overall 37ft 11.28 m Length waterline 29ft9” 9.07 m Beam 12ft4” 3.76 m D raft 6ft3” 1.91 m Displacement 19,500 lbs 8,845 kg Ballast 7000 lbs 3,175 kg Ballast Ratio 35.90 % Engine Nanni N4.38 37.5 hp Tanks: Fuel 60 gallons 270 litres Tanks: Water 100 gallons 440 litres SA IL AREAS Main 374 sq ft 34.74 sq m Genoa 470 sq ft 43.70 sq m The Rustler 37 is CE certified and built to RCD, category A, Ocean HULL & DECK A hand laid up system, using glass fibre re - enforced polyester (GRP) in accordance with Stephen Jones const ruction drawings and using Lloyds approved materials. The hull has a double gel coat and isophalic resin lay - up through out with matched chopped strand mat and woven roving for maximum resistance to porosity and tropical conditions. Coachroof and inner co aming s are stiffened with 12mm core cell and all deck fittings are reinforced by 12mm marine ply pads. The hull and deck are joined by overlapping GRP laminate with the resultant bulwarks capped in teak. Stanchion bases and cleats are mounted on top and through bolted. A choice of colours is available for hull and decks, however the standard yacht is offered with white topsides and off - white decks as standard. The side decks have a moulded - in non slip finish. Teak laid side decks are available as an op tion. The hull has two coats of antifouling applied to the owners colour choice, with a boot top. Large Bosuns locker on foredeck acting as crash bulkhead with separate automatic bilge pump. BALLAST The ballast is a lead casting comprising of 3.2 tons, and fully encapsulated in the keel. COCKPIT Teak laid cockpit seats and sole, locker tops and bridge deck. Saf ety harness attachment points. Cave locker starboard side coaming. External manual bilge pump fitted adjacent to helm positi on. Jefa pedestal with binnacle compass and hide covered wheel. Lockers under helmsman seat including gas and two further lazarrete lockers. Additional large locker to port STEERING Jefa steering system , binnacle compass and hide covered stainless wheel. This is a direct drive system with quadrant gear, levers and draglinks giving excellent mechanical advantage and the ultimate in feel and responsiveness. The rudder is constructed using a 50 mm stainless steel stock with large tangs encapsul ated in GRP. The rudder is semi b alanced with needle roller bearings top and bottom ho u s ed in a glassed in rudder tube. E mergency tiller is provided. COACHROOF / COMPANIONWAY Two Harken 40 ST stainless winches mounted either side of the companionway coachroof, together with associated clu tches, to contr ol reefing and halyard lines le d aft. Sliding comp anionway hatch and garage in perspex with two teak storm boards. Grab handles port and starboard of companionway. Safety line attachment points. DECK FITTINGS & EQUIPMENT Stemhead fitting in stainless steel with bronze rollers. Pulpit a nd pushpit in stainless steel. Stainless steel stanchions and guardwires with gates port and starboard. Electric anchor windlass with foot switch es . Six bulwark mounted mooring cleats. Stainless chafe protec tion to teak toerail sides where appropriate. Mushroom ve nts to saloon and fore cabin. Handrails in teak to coachroof. Fixed portlights to coachroof sides. Hatches to saloon, aft heads, galley and fore cabin. Chainplates to cap sh rouds, aft and fwd lowers, back stay. Genoa tracks in aluminium with cars. 2 x Harken 46 ST sheet winches . Option for additional 35ST winches. Sliding main hatch with lock to storm boards. Spray hood. W ebbing jackstays . SPARS & RIGGING Selden deck stepped double spreader anodised mast and boom section. Harken 35 ST mast winch with clutch above. Track to f ront of mast for spinnaker pole option. Fixed cleats and stoppers as necessary. Turning blocks to mast base. Single line slab reefing lead aft as standard. Selden Gas Rod Kicker. STANDA RD RIGGING All standing rigging stainless stee l 1 x 19 mm wire throughout and including f orestay, forward and aft lowers , capshroud s and backstay. RUNNING RIGGING Main halyard, topping lift, vang led aft to cockpit. Genoa halyard cleated off at mast. Genoa sheets. Lazyjacks, burgee and signal halyards. Mainsheet. S AILS Fully battened mainsail with 3 reefs and Selden MDS car system. Sloop rig standard . 140% Genoa with U V protection. Furlex 2 00S f urling gear to genoa Mainsail cover. GROUND & MOORING TACKLE 2 0 kg Delta anchor, 60 m x 10mm g alvanised chain. 2 x 15 metre x 16mm Mooring warp. Four fenders. ACCOMODATION The interior joinery is constructed from high quality materials and in accordance with the very best yacht building practice. Joinery is finished i n solid European oak and marine faced quality plywood as standard. The interior hull is flo - coated below the waterline and lined with a moisture resistant material above the waterline. Al l locker doors and drawers have secure push button catches. Skyscreen s and c urta ins can be fitted as an option. FORECABIN – Large double berth . S towage un der. Hanging locker and cupboards to port side. Draw units and cupboard to starboard side. Large chart draw under berth. Door to saloon . FORWARD HEADS – Option for fwd heads with opening hatch. SALOON – L arge saloon open plan to galley and chart table area. Oak saloo n table with bottle stowage . P ort and starboard seating can be used as berths and have lee cloths. Stowage under port saloon seat s. Port saloon seat can be converted into a double. GALLEY – Double stainless steel sink . Fresh water mixer tap to sink and manual foot pump with faucet. Aquafilter to manu al pump system. GKN Espace Levant cooker , 3 burner grill and oven, fiddled and gimballed. Stowage for cutlery , crockery etc. Bin under sink unit. Large moulded fridge compartment top loading with keel cooled compressor unit. CHART AREA - C hart table with plenty of space for instrumentation. Chart stowage u nder hinged lid. Further chart stowage in forecabin. St owage to starboard side of seat . Book s helf. AFT HEADS - Moulded GRP unit with marine wc, washbasin, locker s outboard and under sink unit. Mix er tap to sink. Separate shower. Grating to shower tray. Opening hatch. Fixed portlight. Mirror. AFT CABIN – Spacious double b erth. Stowage under berth and locker to port. PLUMBING PIPING - All wastes and seawater pipes a re reinforced PVC. Freshwater pi pes are non - toxic polybutylene. All flexible pipe connections are made with stainless steel hose clips. Hull exits through bronze Blakes seacocks and skin fittings. FRESH WATER - F resh water t anks under saloon and fwd cabin berth. (85 gallons, 386 litres) F itted with inspection hatches and dip gauges. Tank filled from side deck and vented overboard. Calorifier ( 22 litres ) providing hot water either heated from engine or immersion heater from shore power. BILGE PUMPS - Two Henderson MKV pumps, one located in cockpit, the other sited internally, both discharge overboard. One submersible electric pump. Pick - ups are in the main bilge and discharge is overboard through skin - fittings. GAS - Gas bottles stored in a vented locker under helmsman seat. 1 x 4.5kg bottle supplied, space for two . Gas piped in rigid copper pipe to galley, flexible hose to the cooker and an ad ditional isolation valve is fitted by the cooker. ENGINE The engine is located directly over the keel, perfect for weight distribution. Superb access via hinged lid with ability to remove all surrounding panels. ENGINE – Nanni N4.38 (37.5 hp) 4 cylinder di esel engine with 2 .3 :1 mecha nical gearbox. 100amp alternator. Engine is flexibly mounted with built - in drip tray. COOLING - by means of seawater, cooling a closed freshwater system through a heat exchanger. INSULATION - Engine compartment is insulated with non - combustible foam sound deadening material. VENTILATION - With the aid of a fan. CONTROL - Single lever control on steering pedestal. INSTRUMENTS - Instruments in cockpit include tachometer, oil pressure and Temperature audible alarm, alternator warnin g light, starter switch and stop control. FUEL SYSTEM - Fuel tank, holding approximately 270 lit r es (60 gallons ) filled from the side deck and vented outboard. Isolation valve fitted to tank and contents are measured by an air pressure gauge. A primary fil ter/water separator is fitted in addition to the engine fuel filter. Fuel spill - off is returned to the tank. EXHAUST - Seawater cooling is discharged through the exhaust, which is reinforced rubber hose, with its exit aft through a skin - fitting. A waterloc k is fitted at the lowest point and the engine cooling water return is looped and vented to prevent syphoning. STERN GEAR - A 30mm diameter stainless steel shaft together with an Aquadrive unit and a fixed pitch 3 bladed bronze propeller is fitted. A rubbe r cutla ss bearing is fitted outboard, lubricated by injecting part of the seawater from the engine cooling into the stern tube aft of the inboard bearing. ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT Three heavy duty batteries, charged from 100A engine alternator, one for engine and two for domestic use. Isolating switches with link between engine and service bank for emergency starting. Main switch panel is protected by contact breakers. Shore po wer is provided with standard 35 A mains charger for batteries and 240V sockets in g alley, fwd cabin, chart area/ saloon. 15m shore power lead supplied. INTERIOR LIGHTS - Halogen 10W flush lights throughout. Reading lights to saloon. Red/white lights to heads, red courtesy lights to chart area, galley and companionway steps. Ad ditional sw itchable white light to chart table. Option for LEDs throughout. NAVIGATION LIGHTS - two 25 watt port and starboard nav lights to pulpit, one 25 watt tri - colour masthead navigation light combined with 10 watt all - round white light; one 10 watt stern light; one 25 watt steaming light; one 35 watt sealed beam deck light.
