Monday, Nov. 26 1. alcove (n)– a small space in a room, formed by one part of a wall being further back than the other parts. 2. contraption (n)– any device/machine that looks strange and that one doesn’t fully understand 3. corrugated (adj.)– something folded into ridges (like the inside of cardboard) 4. mesmerize (v)– to hypnotize, entrance; to fascinate 5. nullify (v) – to make of no value or consequence, cancel, wipe out
