WHAT IS CSI?
Career Summer Institute
Collaborative partnership with Santa Clara County’s Mental Health Department Learning Collaborative, Andrew Hill High School Medical Magnet Program, Health Workforce Initiative hosted at Mission College, and 13 mental health agencies in Santa Clara Count to provide awareness about mental and behavioral health careers.
One week Two days on campus
Three days visiting various mental health care organizations
Learning opportunity to gain more insight regarding mental and behavioral health
Offers stipend $100 for students who attend

Learned how to approach and communicate with people in a way that is professional and emphasizes de-escalate talking to someone who is having a mental health crisisDiscovered ways in which I can manage and take care of my own mental health
