Senior Cricket. The Rutland season is now underway with already 2 games completed. . The opening game vs. Kimbolton was a great game played in great spirits by both teams. Kimbolton batted first and scored 292-2 after they were put in to bat by Phil Lewis. Shidhu Kanade took 2 early wickets and the going was good for Yaxley until a destructive over off the bowling of Phil Lewis (32) saw Kimbolton accelerate to a very good total. Kimbolton’s No.4 made 165 with some excellent striking and was backed up by their No.3 with a steady 72. In reply Yaxley were 171 all out with Matt Jarvis making 53 on his debut and Phil Lewis with 36..
