When and how it happened?8 years ago, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina addressed the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina with an initiative to establish a state level Association of Refrigeration, Air conditioning and Heat pumpsThe Association of Refrigeration, Air condition and Heat pumps of Bosnia and Herzegovina was established at the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina in May 2015.

Why at the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina?National level Chamber – a non–governmental, non-profit association of enterprises from Bosnia and Herzegovina About 13,000 member companies – associated on the basis of mandatory membership.Provides support to BH’s companies in order to achieve sustainable growth and promoting honourable businessesContributes to the creation of a more favourable environment for member companies – advocacy for an improved legal framework, green transition, digitalization, etc. Raising awareness – conferences, round tables, publications, campaigns, etc.Drafting strategic documents in the export promotion, green and circular economy fields,…Direct support to the compnies – trainings, projects, grant funding

How Association of Refrigeration, Air condition and Heat Pumps of B&H works?500+ companies in our database200+ active member companiesThe Association’s Assembly is held each year – Yearly plan/programme is adoptedEvery 4th year members of the Board are electedThe Board of members counts 9 companies of which 3 are officially presidents of AssociationThe Board meets at least two time yearly and is in charge for implementing the activities listed in yearly ProgrammeTwo supporting expert members of the Board are Mechanical Faculties of Sarajevo and Banja Luka UniversitiesThree supporting observer members: Ozone Unit/MOFTER and two representatives of entity ministries

What are we doing?#1 Assisting to the National Ozone Unit of Bosnia and Herzegovina#2 Lobbying for improvement of the legislative framework, negotiating with the government#3 Education of member companies#4 Promoting the best practices and raising the awarenessOngoing activities in 2023.1Helping a NOU to establish a training centers in two high schools in Sarajevo and Banja Luka as two biggest cities in BiH Helping the training centers to develop a relevant and useful syllabus in accordance with EU standards, F-regulation, MP, affirming the companies to certify their employees2Updating the database of members3Updating the database of industry users: meat processing, milk industry, frozen food, tourism,… (useful for inventory of equipment)4Promotion and raising awarenes, comunicating with the media5Education: ToT on "Implementing a MP, Plan I and II phasedown HCHC refrigerants and Kigali Amandman in Bosnia and Herzegovina"
