Week of June 24th Inspection of towerAs inspected the tower was not perfectLeaned to the North ~2cm The south column leaned to the west ~1cm Installation of the ladder structure and actuator stand Ladder and actuator stand was anchored as far north as possible Discovered that the “button” on the back of the pin assemblies interfered and did not allow for full retraction.Note: More accommodation fo r construction of tower is needed. Week of June August 12th Survey and adjustment of the stabilizer pinsModified pin assemblies were installedAll stabilizer assemblies were adjusted to their nominal position and the stabilizer rails were adjusted to be vertical Pins positions were surveyed Lowest pin on the South side did not have enough adjustment, so it had to be removed and slots increased. All pins were adjusted. Second survey indicated that two pins were still out of positionPins were adjusted and resurveyed. All pins within 1mm except 2 pins were ~2mm east and west. Week of August 12th Actuator standAll the wiring for the actuator stand was routed and connected by Kantor ElectricCharles Cadeau programmed the drive. Initially could control directly from the drive, but not the pendant Charles found that the pendant was provided with a jumper between the up and down switches. Down limit, up limit, and PD cable position switched have been set.Slow zone LED did not work and is being replaced. APA doublet assembly Bottom APA transferredPositioned on the actuator stand.Actuator beam guide did not have enough compliance and the guide was loosened to increase compliance but not removed. APA doublet assembly APA pair connectedA minor interference with two PD cable hold-downs was discovered and hold-downs were removed.Initially shoulders of link screws hung up on link hole.
