106 clubs
either competing in their own right or providing competitors for the State competition.
This is the largest representation of Australian competitors in the history of dragon boating in Australia

Approximately 43% of competitors were 50 years or older however the statistics illustrate the growth of the sport in the 40 and younger age bracket.

The 2011-14
Development Plan builds on previous plans and has been updated with programs and resources requested by states at the national strategic planning meeting in September 2011.
The
budget and membership fees, approved in April 2012, has also been incorporated in the document.
