EMD Manager provides an assisted way of issuing EMD-S. The workflow allows for the completion of the process of issuing EMD-S without needing to know cryptic entries or associated modifiers. Features of the workflow include:

Override the FOP with one required specifically for the EMD-S

Easily associate the relevant ticket informationInclude additional tax or commission information so it is calculated with the EMD-S

enable the agent to print documentation at the same time as issuing the EMD-S Void or refund the EMD-S with one click process

EMD Manager - Display SVC segments and Issue EMD-S

PUBLICSlide8

EMD Manager is accessed from the Tools menu or quick key ALT + K.

The ‘Services’ screen displays showing all the associated service segments to the PNR. This gives the ability to quickly see the status of the service segments and what EMD-Ss need to be issued.

Fare shop results will now include OB fees (Ticketing & CC fees) whenever applicable as part of the grand total. Also, the fee details will be called out in the Details section of the fare shop response. The OB Fees can be excluded from shop by using the OBX (all fees), OBXT (Ticketing Fees) & OBXF (FOP Fees). The FOP must be stored in the PNR or the FP modifier with the 6 digit bin number (first 6 digits of the CC) should be provided in the fare shop entry to get back the CC Fees (Ex : /FP444433).

There will be no OB fees displayed at the time of shopping for direct payment carriers. But there could be other fees that may be part of the shop response. Disclaimers will be added to the shop response for direct payment carriers, in case some fees has been included and OB fees not included.

Please Note: OB Fees will not be returned for any carrier during shop/price on Travelport Apollo.

Improved pre-booking seat map response times

Up to version 7.2, Travelport Smartpoint sent information for all segments and all passengers in a single aggregated seat map request. Due to the processing time involved, as well as the size of the response, this could slow down the response depending on the content of the itinerary.

Technical changes have been made in version 7.3 to improve the pre-booking seat map response by:

Sending only the requested segment with all passengers in the first aggregated seat map service call

GDS Network Carrier segments will be sent one at a time

Direct Payment Carrier segments will be sent together per carrier

Prior to this release, a message stated “Seatmap Loading…” was shown to the agents while all seat maps loaded behind the scenes. In Travelport Smartpoint 7.3, this message will be shown briefly only in post-booking seatmap requests.

PUBLICSlide25

Improved pre-booking seat map response times (cont’d)

There will be additional “Gathering information” text with static dots for each segment as each seat map loads.

Instead of displaying “Seatmap Loading….” the seat map window will open and have an interstitial graphic showing “Gathering information” with moving dots in the seat map frame.

Additionally, if the seat map is requested by clicking on the class of service in the itinerary or by using a segment specific cryptic/host entry, the segment chosen will be the first seat map to be retrieved. In the example, the class of service for segment 3 was clicked.

Use of the entry #SEAT will load all seat maps beginning with the first segment.

PUBLICSlide26

Improved pre-booking seat map response times (cont’d)

There can be times when the requested segment seat map might take a little longer to load than other seat maps in the itinerary.

In this scenario, the gathered seat map for a different segment can be clicked on, a seat can be chosen and there is also an option to return to the original segment seat map.

In this example, the agent can click on segment 2

to view and select seats while the other seat maps are loading.

Users of Travelport Search Control Console can now input the Channel ID modifier in the Travelport Smartpoint Smartpanel. Travelport Smartpoint also supports native/cryptic entries that include an optional modifier for shop/price and fare display to accept the Channel ID (CI) or, to override one or all of the Search Control Console rules (NSCC). Only one Channel ID may be entered. The NSCC Override modifier cannot be used with a Channel ID (CI) modifier.

For additional information about Search Control Console, please see Ask Answer

For ancillary purchases on direct payment carriers, Travelport Smartpoint will do the following rule validations:

Required for all travelers

Required for all segments

If a certain ancillary applies to all passengers in the PNR – Travelport Smartpoint will automatically apply the selection to all passengers in the PNR.

Ancillary rules processing – pre-booking only

PUBLICSlide32

If an ancillary needs to be bought on all segments in the origin and destination, Travelport Smartpoint will automatically provide a prompt for the correct selection. Travelport Smartpoint will visually indicate such ancillaries by one single input box spanning all segments for the origin and destinations.

Filter an air availability display

The ability to use a filter to reduce the content of an air availability display is now possible. Previously, the filter option was only available from a fare shopping display (FS). The display can be sorted by departure time and journey time.

PUBLICSlide36

When a filter (or filters) are applied the top of the screen the display will appear as shown below.

The line numbering in the availability display appears out of synch , this is correct as the filter does not change the line numbering, it will just filter out the ones that have been applied via the filter.

PUBLICSlide37

Fare quote pricing entry to show in the filed fare display

When displaying a filed fare, the pricing entry used is now shown.

Note: The fare quote pricing entry will be shown when the fare has been stored by using the FQ command only.

If the fare has been stored from using the Brands and Ancillaries screen or by clicking on “Book” or “Apply” links, the pricing entry will not be displayed.

If the PNR contains remarks in the following formats, when the Search screen is opened (from any flow – search, calendar or segment) – the details will auto-populate into the screen as shown to right.

Apollo: H/EH FG-ABC123/6C FG-1234556

Galileo: H*EH FG-ABC123/6C FG-1234556The delimiter between chain code and FG

can be a space as above or slash or dash / i.e. HI-FG or HI/FG,These can be on separate lines as well as

combined like above on a single line.

Since the search screen allows for just

one FG number to be used in a search, the

first FG found will be used; any other chains

found thereafter will be included as a

preferred supplier on the screen.

Apollo: H/MULTI-LEVEL RATE CODES: TRX

Galileo: H*MULTI-LEVEL RATE CODES: TRX

Each rate code must be entered in a

separate line.

Once the maximum of 4 is found, any others would be ignored.

PUBLIC

Population Hotel Availability Search or Hotel Sell screens

On the ‘Advanced Sell’ screen from a Room Rate display, formats for CD and CC data will prepopulate (FG will also populate using same format as for Availability screen).

Apollo: H/HI CD-111111/EH CD-998877

Galileo: H*HI CD-111111Same as FG, delimiter can be space as above or slash or dash / i.e. HI-CD or HI/CD and can be on separate lines.

Apollo: F/VI4444333322221111EXP1222

Galileo: F*VI4444333322221111EXP1220

Or can be a slash in place of EXP, i.e. …221111/1222.

Will also find the CC data from the F- field, if that is already supplied.

When multiples are found for any field, a drop-down is provided to select which one is wanted.

PUBLIC

with PNR information (cont’d)Slide42

Travelport Smartpoint will identify when the hotel sold is part of an all brands code, as shown HI was sold and the 6C number is provided.

When different CC is selected, the expiration date will be updated as well as card type. When the setting has masking on, the number will copy over as masked, but when sent to hotel system Travelport Smartpoint will provide the unmasked number

.

If Travelport Smartpoint is unable to obtain the unmasked number, a message will display on top of the screen, as follows:

If “Load TravelScreen Data” is selected, any fields that are duplicated will be defaulted to the TravelScreen Data and previous values will be available in the drop-down.

Graphical hotel headline ads with dynamic rates

Graphical Teaser Ads may now include an interactive banner to promote a Hotel Property’s Dynamic Rate (DRU). Clicking on the interactive banner will open the Complete Hotel Availability (HOC) results for that property. Clicking on the graphic will open the “Learn More Offer” landing page. HOC results will appear based on the dates entered on the Air, Car or Hotel availability requested at the time the Graphical Teaser Ad is launched. DRU pulls the Lowest Public Rate (LPR) every 8 hours and will hold the rate static for that time.

Note: Rates may change within the 8 Hours resulting in a higher or lower rate

PUBLICSlide44

Car - additional shuttle and rate details

Car results now have two new areas decoded via “hovering over text”. There is no need to go into the rules for this detail.

There is also a clickable element which now allows for copy and paste. If the car vendor doesn’t supply the details, a message

will be shown here.

Rate detail column – to advise one way restrictions and what type of rate – i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, week-end, package, etc.

L

ocation column – hover over text option is now provided which

will give customer specific instructions for the counter and vehicle.

PUBLICSlide45

Car - sort shopping results

When results are first returned following an availability search, they are sorted by the column heading “APPROX TOTAL”, as shown in orange. When any of the other Sort By options is clicked on, the color will change from blue to orange to indicate the current sort order. Sorting is a toggle on/off - 1

st

click sorts by that value, 2

nd

click returns back to default of “APPROX TOTAL”. In all cases, the sort order is indicated by the column heading text turning orange.

PUBLICSlide46

If sorting on a value and then switching to a cryptic sell format, the line number shown on screen must be used. This is the original line position from the default sort of “APPROX TOTAL”, rather than the user-sorted line position, which alleviates the need to count lines. In the example screen to the right, sorting is by vendor. If a switch is required to sell Dollar ECAR, the entry would be 01A23, rather than having to count down to what positional line Dollar ECAR is now on.

If results return rates in separate sections like the screenshot below, the sorting capability will not be offered.

Customer Information screen - phone field accepts additional characters

When a direct payment carrier was in a booking for previous versions of Travelport Smartpoint, the phone field in the customer information screen would not allow for an asterisk (*), forward slash (/) or full stop (.) to be entered.

These characters are now accepted in the phone field in the booking file for Travelport Smartpoint 7.3. If the direct payment carrier does not accept these characters, they should be removed before sending the booking.

PUBLICSlide61

Reference data updates

Travelport Smartpoint 7.2 introduced auto-updates for reference data information. Installation required administration rights. The changes made in Travelport Smartpoint 7.3 ensure that if updates are taken automatically or manually from the tools menu there will no longer be an administration rights pop-up message.

The only notification will be via agent alerts. Reference data contains city/airport lists, airline codes, currency codes and EMD information. If auto-updates are switched off for reference data, the following entry needs to be made to reinstate the automated process:
