By this point in their studies students should have good academic and some work experience. It also means companies can recruit the interns as graduates should they wish to the following year. For host companies, we target CEO level so the supporter has the ability to sponsor interns and ensure a positive experience. Companies are targeted globally. P4VSALTIREFUE The two stage pre-selection process is organised in case of student / graduate international internships: During the first stage the candidates submit their CV to the sending university, who is responsible for pre-selecting the candidates meeting the academic criteria established at institution's level. The list of qualifying candidates is submitted to P4V coordinators The second stage is organised by P4V coordinators who conduct a motivational interview to best match a participant's mobility objectives/career perspectives with the receiving organisation's criteria set P4V provides host organisations with 1-3 candidates’ profile documents for final decision (if needed, telephone, Skype or face-to-face interview may be organised) Online application – covers background, aspirations, experience, core competencies and CV/resume Speed interview – 2x 15 minute interview with a team member and an Alumni Successful candidates receive a list of internships and submit cover letters for the roles they are interested in Based on cover letters, online application and interview feedback candidates are shortlisted for specific internships The host company then interviews and selects their candidate The host company provides Saltire with feedback which is shared with relevant candidates to ensure their professional development The process is designed to test core competencies sucha as: leadership potential; ability to adapt and cope; teamwork; ambassadorial skills; and understanding of and fit with vision and value of the Saltire Foundation & Entrepreneurial Scotland Applications are carried out online (Talentoteca.es and specific minisites) for the centralization and management of the candidatures and selection process. P4VSALTIREFUE As per the Joint Cooperation Agreement on the establishment of the “Partners for Value” Initiative signed on 21 November, 2013 the Confederation and its assigned Manager ensures coordinating role of the Initiative. The Manager in close collaboration with participating universities may develop new project proposals and submit them for funding on behalf of “Partners 4 Value”.As of 1st of July, 2014 the “Partners 4 Value” Consortium is accredited with the Higher Education Mobility Consortia under the Erasmus+ programme, 1 Activity for the period of 2014 – 2016 (Project No. 2014-1-LT01-KA103-000386) and the financial grant for mobility activities for 2014/2015. The Confederation and its appointed Manager is responsible for coordinating the Consortium and managing the grant. Legal SF has a contract with every student participating which manages our relationship with the student and their relationship with their host company.Financial If a student is on an international internship the Saltire Foundation is responsible for covering all their costs, including flights, accommodation, insurance, visas and a weekly stipend. We then invoice the host company and the student’s university. If the student is on an internship in Scotland, the host company pays them directly at or above the living wage. The host company does not pay anything to Saltire for the match and there is no cost to the university.Legal FUE is responsible for complete management of programme agreements and annexes (preparation, ensuring signatures and distribution, updating/adapting contents, etc)FUE is responsible for complete management of national Social Security issuesFinancial FUE is responsible for complete financial management: programme budget; invoicing host companies; payment of all programme expenditures (monthly stipend to participating students; insurance; social security; tutors, trainers and professors; training materials; etc.); withholding of taxes; fiscal certificates; ….Madrid, 18-22 May 2015Joint staff training event24Legal and financial management: IO roleSlide25

P4VSALTIREFUE Participation costs (training activities) account for 86,7 % of the budget:students/graduatesuniversity staff Mobility organisation costs (administrative costs) account for the remaining 13,3 % of the budget. Our budget is aligned to programme participation and is reevaluated annually due to continued growth. Currently, 90% is allocated directly to running the programme and around 10% for staff and administrative costs.For international internships, the estimated cost of each internship is 5-6k GBP. This cost is met entirely through host company and university contributions. The host company will pay 3-5k GBP (they select contribution level) of this and the university 2k GBP per participant. Each programme has its own budget structure depending on specific characteristics. Principal budget lines may include some or all of the following: Student/intern stipend Training plan / Academic programme Administrative costs (FUE) – 10% Administrative costs (University) – some universities do not charge administrative costs; others may establish a percentage (normally 10%) or a fixed sum/intern (between 50 and 250 €) Social Security and/or private insurance Promotional materials / website Recruitment / application toolsMadrid, 18-22 May 2015Joint staff training event25Legal and financial management

Agreements are generated by Talentoteca, our programme management platform. For everyday financial management we use Navision (ERP). Invoices Payments Fiscal certificates Social Security issues (registration, deregistration, sick leaves ….) are controlled internally on Navision and Talentoteca. P4VSALTIREFUE P4V acting in the capacity of the Consortium Coordinator is overall responsible for impact measurement. P4V through monitoring exercise collects relevant data that is needed for programme impact measurement and would be ready to provide this data in case the independent impact evaluation exercise would be commissioned by the National Managing Agency or Erasmus+ programme managers. P4V draws certain conclusions based on the data collected on the impact achieved, however believes that impact assessment should be an independent exercise. During the previous programme cycle (2010 – mid-2013) funds were allocated for independent impact assessment exercise that was carried by a private company. Saltire Foundation is entirely responsible for measuring programme impact which can be shared with stakeholders including universities, host companies and donors.FUE is responsible for measuring overall programme impact. COPE en Organización y Recursos Humanos: Psychology students majoring in Human Resources. Between 1997 and 2006, FUE also ran an internship programme specifically for undergraduate students in the field of humanities, in this case, in cooperation with the Regional Government of Madrid, who financed 60% of the cost.Online internships for Master students:e-START: Internships are conceived as pre-consultancy projects, carried out individually or in groups. The projects are proposed by host companies and validated by the university. Special programmes for …37Students with special needsP4VP4V recognises that participants from disadvantaged backgrounds often face challenges taking advantage of mobility opportunities. Special services for candidates / interns / alumni41FUEMOVERS by FUE www.fue.es/moversbyfueA special initiative launched by FUE to award the excellence, motivation, enthusiasm and outstanding attitude of those recent graduates from our internship programmes (GAIA, CITIUS, OPTIMUS and STEP) who have obtained exceptional academic results and proven their commitment during their training period at their host companies. We have celebrated 2 editions (20 students selected in each edition) to date. The first group went to the University of Central Florida (USA), where they received an exclusive academic training taught by top experts. The second group travelled to London, where they had the opportunity of taking the “Masterclass for Young Leaders in Business” by the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. Both groups also had a programme of institutional visits.The 40 MOVERs by FUE are currently working on several group projects. We envision them to become our future Ambassadors.ForwardTo be officially launched in June 2015, we envision it to become a strong FUE alumni network. Forward is an online collaborative learning platform which will be available for FUE candidates, interns and alumni with a mix of free and paid further education/training activities, services and resources.Key DaysInspirational talks/sessions lead by invited speakers.
