License Description: Major Requirements for Certification: School Bus Driver 1) At least 18 years of age; 2) Posses Arizona commercial driver\'s license; 3) Intended employer\'s name; 4) Complete training requirements; 5) Complete a minimum of 14 hours of classroom training and pass a written exam; 7) Pass a physical exam conducted by a health care professional and pass a physical performance test that consists of eight standards; 8) During 24 months before the date of application or during any 24-month period while certified as a school bus driver, an applicant or school bus driver shall not accumulate eight or more points on their driving record; Fees: Contact Arizona Department of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Division, Commercial Driver\'s License Dept., 602-255-0072 Commercial Truck Driver 1) At least 21 years of age for interstate operation and at least 18 years of age (inside Arizona only) for operations restricted to intrastate transportation and not involving the transportation of a reportable quantity of hazardous substance, hazardous waste required to be manifested, or hazardous material in an amount requiring a vehicle to be marked or placarded ; 2) A person not physically qualified to drive but otherwise qualified to drive a motor vehicle, may drive a motor vehicle in intrastate commerce if the Director grants an intrastate waiver to the person; 3) Submit to a U.S. Department of Transportation medical examination form completed as prescribed under 49 CFR 391.43; 4) Successfully complete written test or tests depending on the class of license Fees: Contact Arizona Department of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Division, Commercial Driver\'s License Dept., 602-255-0072
