Matthew 13:31–33 The Mustard Seed and the Leaven31 He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. 32 It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” 33 He told them another parable. “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it was all leavened.” Slide3
Matthew 13:34–35 Prophecy and Parables34 All these things Jesus said to the crowds in parables; indeed, he said nothing to them without a parable. 35 This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet: “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter what has been hidden since the foundation of the world.” Slide4
Introduction:The Holy Bible is best understood, from an understanding of God’s Eternal Plan. This includes His rescue plan, otherwise known as “The Plan of Salvation”. This was formulated by the Triune God, before the foundation of the world. Slide5
Seeded In Greatness! Do you perceive what our Lord has deposited in us? We have been potentiated, not only to sustain the life that is in the Seed/Word, but we have been potentiated to reproduce that life.Slide6

He took the seed, which means, he made it his own. Next he sowed the seed. His action revealed that he believed that the seed that he had gained preserved life in it, and that it was able to produce a harvest. This belief, moved the man into continuous action, until the seed produced what he was believing for.Slide17
A grain of mustard seed is extremely small. What he received appeared insignificant. It did not look like much.Slide18
How do we move From Humble Beginnings? To Being “…Larger than the garden plants and
become a tree
, so that birds of the air come and make nests in its
branches
”
Matt. 13:32Slide19
Faith In ActionThe man did something with the seed that he received, because he believed something about the seed.Slide20
Yet he did something with the seed that he received, because he believed something about the seed. What did he do with the seed?He planted it in his field.Slide21
From Humble Beginnings
“To larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree”Slide22
From Humble BeginningsIn The NaturalWhat have we learned? The man believed that the seed that he received was good (He believed It was alive). What he believed about the seed, caused him to plant the seed. (He acted upon what he believed)
He then gave the seed what it needed to grow.
He continued to act until he had what he was believing for. Slide23
What Have We Learned? We learned from : Mark 4:14 The sower sows the Word. Luke 8:11
The
seed is the
Word
of God. Slide24
We learned from John 1:1-4, &1:14John 1:1–4 1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2
He was in the beginning with God.
3
All things were made through
Him
, and without
Him
was not any thing made that was made.
4
In
Him
was life, and the life was the light of men.
John 1:14
And
the Word
became
flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen
His
glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Slide25

Now that we know that the seed is the Word.Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Hebrews 4:2 For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. Matthew 13:31 He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. Slide27
