On the other two write conduction, convection, and their definitions.Each index card will be an example of one of these. Write the example on the card and draw a picture.1) The heat you feel when you stand next to but don’t touch a hot oven.2) The cold air outside the shower pushes the shower curtain towards you.3) A metal knife gets hot sitting on top of the toaster.4) Your steak gets grill lines on it from where it touched the grill.5) The hot water in a pot rises to the top, gets cold, sinks down, and gets hot again.6) The smoke from a fire rises up a chimney.7) On a hot, sunny day, the street looks “shimmery” and feels hot when you stand next to it.8) Your friend warms up their hands and puts them on top of yours, making your hands feel warm too.9) You stand close to a fire in order to get warm.Sort the cards into the correct envelopes!
