The MFP’s are connected to Gratade’s network and provide the means to print and copy at speed in colour and in black and white. Equipped with additional paper trays, the MFP’s feed letterhead paper as well as standard A3 and A4 paper.The multifunctional products are versatile and easy to use. A common print driver allows employees to print to any Ricoh device. At the machine, a colour touch-screen operation panel automates manual nishing processes such as collation and stapling. New communication features such as scan to e-mail and paperless fax are helping simplify business processes.In the print room, three Ricoh production printers eortlessly handle long print runs. Each machine is capable of producing 90 pages a minute and together they provide the capacity to print more than 16,000 pages an hour. The production printers are equipped with inline nishing systems which provide the means to punch, staple and fold documents ready for use.Delivering Real BenetGratade’s chief executive, Yves Gratade, is pleased with the contribution the Ricoh print solution is making to his business. He explained: “Replacing printers and photocopiers with a smaller but more versatile eet of multifunctional products has released approximately 30 m² of o�ce space, improving the working environment.”“The Ricoh multifunctional products are easy to use. With ready access colour, the quality and eectiveness of our customer print communication has improved. The facility to scan documents is helping us streamline administrative processes. We can, for example, scan property particulars in colour response.”“Although we now make wider use of colour, our total print expenditure has not increased. The printers we replaced were consumable hungry and horribly expensive to run. With colour output from the Ricoh MFPs costing signicantly less than colour output from the desktop printers, we can aord to produce more in colour.”Remote ManagementThe Ricoh solution is proving robust and reliable. Equipment is monitored by Ricoh on a real-time basis using its @Remote management tool. Using the tool Ricoh is able to remotely diagnose technical issues and dispatch engineers equipped to resolve the problem. The same tool allows Ricoh to collect meter readings and compile detailed performance reports.Equipment ScheduleA large mixed eet of printers and photocopiers was replaced with a smaller but more verstile eet of colour multifunctional products and printers. The new equipment is managed remotely by Ricoh using its @Remote monitoring and diagnostics utility.
