Air Clutch Lubrication

Clutches

are self-lubricating and require little maintenance. Lubricate the air cylinders as required every 75–100 hours of operation and at the end of the season to keep the pistons lubricated.

Must

use

dry

silicone

included

in the kit—using penetrating oil, grease, brake cleaner, and so on, voids the warranty and reduces clutch performance.

Any

solvents used will

only work temporarily

and then dry out the clutch. Heavier oils may gum up

clutches.

Slide4

Air Clutch Lubrication

Symptoms requiring lubrication:

Clutch not clutching (continuous planting)Clutch slow to resume

planting after being shut

off

Check Air Valve Module Box also if clutches are not engaging

3 Possible Scenarios

After 75 Hours

After end of Season

Complete Clutch Cleaning

Clutch Air CylinderSlide5

Maintenance After 75 Hours (If needed)

Remove the Phillips-head

screw from clutch housing

Spray in All Purpose Silicone Lubricant for several Seconds

Rotate Clutches with seed shaft to cover clutch

This is dependent on Field Conditions and Air Clutch Engagement cyclesSlide6

End of

Season Maintenance

Remove air cylinder and p

screw

and

rotate clutch

downwards

Use low pressure air to blow out any dustSlide7

End of

Season Maintenance

Use silicone Rotate
