Learning from others

Suggestions:

Link with other services you provide

Encourage all staff to complete brief advice training and refer to your stop smoking advisor

Be flexible with the type of support you offer

Link with national campaigns

When customers are buying OTC NRT or e cigarettes let them know about the service

Slide6

Remember:

Follow

up clients

between 25-42

days from their quit date

You don’t need to see every client to verify they have quit (15% can be non CO verified)

Just because the voucher scheme has changed you can still see people for behavioural support for longer

You CAN support clients using e-cigarettes

Slide7

Remember:

Any new advisor must complete the online training via the NCSCT website

Input your claim on

Pharmoutcomes

but still send in your client data monitoring form

If you’re not currently providing smoking cessation, we are taking on new business
