Place the DSLR bracket onto the puck and slide the camera into it
Secure the DSLR onto the puck via the Double Headed Tool
Insert the tool thru the AirTether locking pin and tighten the tripod mount screw

No LED
Solid Blue
No LED – the position power supply is not plugged in.
NOTE: Please look at the puck for at least 10 seconds to determine
Solid White – the position is armed and providing power
Solid Blue – the position is in short circuit protection mode

Solid White LED means that the system is armed and providing power to the merchandised device.
Freedom Micro DI will power the device when the correct SmartCable is installed and when fully docked or when in lift mode (power in lift mode varies for different camera types)
If the SmartCable is not present, install the appropriate

that the existing SmartCable is free of any physical damage and it is fully inserted into the puck and
device
Unplug the SmartCable from the puck and wait 10 seconds

No LED (longer than 1 minute) means that the power supply is not plugged in.

Make sure that the power supply for the position is plugged into the wall outlet or power strip
Also make sure that the locking tab on the power pigtail has been properly engagedSlide26
Ensure that the LED on the puck is now lit Solid White.

I don’t have a SmartCable
If the LED is solid White make sure that the SmartCable is plugged in and the puck is fully docked. Power now should be present

Ensure that the device is properly merchandised
Insert the IntelliKey into the puck to arm the position

Ensure that there are no obstructions in the way of the puck to prevent it from docking
Inspect the puck and base, look for any obstructions that are preventing the puck to fully seat in the base
If a SmartCable is in the way, you should re-merchandise the device to correct it

Solid Blue LED – the position is in a short circuit protection mode or in overcurrent mode.
The solid Blue LED indicates that there is a problem with the power path to the device. This can be one of three things:
Faulty SmartCable (most common)
Faulty merchandised device
Faulty puckOvercurrent protection (device is drawing excessive amount of current)

If your IntelliKey key turns RED instead of GREEN when plugged into the puck:You will need the MCP to reprogram your IntelliKey to match your DI Puck. The system
will not disarm if the key is incorrectly programmed.
Connect the MCP unit to the Micro DI Puck and the IntelliKey to the MCP. The MCP will beep once when you plug it in to confirm it has power

IF THE LED IS RED:Press and
release the “PUSH” button on the MCP to program the IntelliKey. The IntelliKey will turn GREEN indicating that the key now is programmed
IF THE LED IS GREEN:IntelliKey already has the correct code and no further action is required

verify, unplug the IntelliKey from the MCP and plug it into the Puck

If the IntelliKey turns GREEN then programming is complete, if the IntelliKey is RED please press the Back button to repeat the processSlide43
If your IntelliKey does not light-up at all when plug into the MCP, it means that the code in the MCP does not match the code in the puck.
Connect the MCP unit to the Micro DI Puck also insert the IntelliKey into the MCP. The MCP will beep when you plug it in to confirm it has power
Press and release the “PUSH” button on the MCP once to program the puckPress and release the “PUSH” button on the MCP once again to program the IntelliKey

One cause of a false alarm, is if the camera is not fully secured onto the DI Puck.
Make sure the mounting screw is
fully tightened
into device tri-pod mounting holeThis will ensure the ‘plunger’ is firmly engaged (
ie: armed)
