Discussion format

Students will count off (1, 2, 1, 2…), and the evens will be our first group.

The first group will have 15 minutes to participate in a discussion about your reading. Although the handout provides questions and allows you to brainstorm, you may ask or address whatever you feel is relevant.

You will earn points by participating. You start out with a 70%, and earn 10% for each participation effort that advances the discussion. (Points may be deducted for Tom Foolery).

Students in group 2 will silently observe and take notes during this time.

After 15 minutes, the groups switch.Slide4
