1 Staffing and Technical AQ Services Support (STAQSS) SAF/AQ Overview Ms. Julia Lagace, Contracting Officer Mr. Kevin Naman, COR 1 August 2022 Agenda Opening Remarks and Welcome Introduction to SAF/AQ Examples of Challenging Positions 2 Welcome The intent of today’s Briefing is threefold: Enhance industry’s understanding of the STAQSS Requirements Obtain useful and relevant feedback from industry before finalizing the acquisition Provide Industry an opportunity to meet with the US Government (USG) 3 Admin Items Focus is on the STAQSS requirement only Information presented today is all notional, requirements are subject to change and information presented is not binding upon the Government Following the briefing, all questions, comments or concerns with the STAQSS requirement shall be directed only to the AFDW Contracting focal points Parties that do not comply with this restriction may be excluded from any solicitation 4 SAF/AQ Overview This contract supports the SAF/AQ organization and the objective is to provide specialized expertise to complement the organization’s inherent resources for effective and efficient mission support SAF/AQ consists of the following offices: SAF/AQB - Air Force Scientific Advisory Board SAF/AQC - Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Contracting SAF/AQD - Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Logistics and Product Support SAF/AQE - Office of the Assistant Secretary for Acquisition (Executive Action Group) SAF/AQH - Office of the Assistant Secretary for Acquisition (Acquisition Career Management) SAF/AQI - Information Dominance Programs Directorate SAF/AQP - Global Power Program Directorate SAF/AQQ - Global Reach Programs Directorate SAF/AQR - Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Science, Technology and Engineering SAF/AQS - Space Programs Directorate SAF/AQX – Acquisition Integration 5 SAF/AQB SAF/AQB - Air Force Scientific Advisory Board Provides administrative support needed to enable Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) activities to include: assisting in editing, publishing, and maintaining SAB reports and briefs, tracking responses/actions from recommendations made by the SAB, processing all documentation for appointments and reappointments, and ensuring that SAB activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and directives (FACA, AFI, DoDI, Ethics, etc.) Notional Labor Categories: 6 SAF/AQC SAF/AQC - Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Contracting SAF/AQC is the Air Force’s lead contracting representative on the Air Staff responsible for developing and executing innovative business strategies and cost-effective contracting solutions to enable the global Air Force mission. Notional Labor Categories: 7 SAF/AQD SAF/AQD - Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Logistics and Product Support SAF/AQD is responsible for providing
