A Good Life Model:
This model was created by Tony Ward, and adapted by an organisation called G-MAP to use with young people in 2013. The theory is that everyone needs to have a sense of satisfaction in a number of areas of life, to feel good. Sometime, if we don’t have good ways to feel satisfied we can use unhelpful or harmful ways instead. These bad ways might help us in the short time, but hurt others and ourselves over time.

The Goods:
Being Healthy (body & mind)‏
Having Fun & Achieving (Excitement, enjoyment, status, knowledge, mastery in play & work)
Being my own person (independence, autonomy, self management, control of others / situations)‏
Having Purpose & Making a Difference (spirituality, fulfilment, hope, and generosity)
Having People in My Life (attachment, intimate, romantic, family, social and community relationships)‏

Instructions:
Mark on your wheel, how satisfied you feel in each area. Then ask yourself:
What good things puts your score as high as it is?
What would complete satisfaction look like? How would your life be different?
How would you know if things were slightly better in the area?
What goals can you set to help you feel better about the area?
What skills can you use? What things might you need? What do you need to think about to stay safe?
Who can help you?
What small steps can you take to move towards your goal? A Good Life<br>
