Agriculture Products Identification Contest<br>

Why is this important? 4-H members can:
Relate these products to what they see in their grocery stores
What they encounter in everyday life
Apply their knowledge outside of the livestock industry
Apply their knowledge to those who don’t realize that their produce, meat, fibers all relate to agriculture<br>

Contest Overview 20 Texas agricultural products are selected & exhibited at separate stations
Contestants select the correct identification of each product from four possible answers.
Each station also has one multiple choice question pertaining to the product on display.
Questions are general to the industry that produced the product and specific to product on display<br>

Contest Format 20 multiple choice questions (See Agricultural Products List)
May include but are not limited to: uses, method of growth, season, region grown, national ranking, economic impact to TX, Nutritional Value, Storage Method, Production method
Each question is worth 5 points
Contestants will no receive credit for the second question if the product is not identified correctly
Contestants have 30 seconds at each station to answer both questions
Ties
5 stations will be selected as tie breakers in advance of the contest. Teams with the highest cumulative scores at these five stations will win any ties. If ties still remain, winners will be determined by the toss of a coin.<br>
