We are the only professional Institute which is dedicated to and focussed solely on operational risk. We consider that the discipline of operational risk holistically brings together the individual specialism's involved in managing operational risk: cybercrime, business resilience, information security, culture and conduct to name only a few. The discipline of operational risk captures the operational and people aspects of compliance, credit, market and model risks. We believe that the operational risk professional not only needs a robust toolkit of techniques and methodologies but a much wider skill set covering; people, data, context and environment, business practices and culture. What makes us unique? Where do we stand today? Recognised tests for a professional body.
