Two main types of lessons: Knowledge Select an instructional method Research info thoroughly Summarize info Prepare questions/activities Prepare confirmation Prepare training aids Skill Plan carefully Break down skill into steps Rehearse sequence to ensure clear & accurate Prepare lesson plan Prepare materials for demo/practice Organize class to see demo Allow cadets to practice under supervision Provide assistance/ re-demo Practice until skill is achieved Group Activity Break into six groups. Each group will be given a card with a method of instruction. Prepare to explain this method to the class. Brainstorm what topics would be best taught with this method.
