slide7. Right forms of verb-14 No sooner had, hardly had, scarcely had, etc. are the adverbials that require a past perfect tense and a past indefinite tense for the sentence. #Scarcely had the police (reach) when the the thief (escape).
Ans:Scarcely had the police reached when the thief escaped. #No sooner had the train(start) than we (reach) the station.
Ans: No sooner had the train started than we reached the station<br>
slide8. Right forms of verb-15 Past Perfect+before+past Indefinite.
Past Indefinite +Past Perfect . #The patient (die) before the doctor (come).
Ans: The patient had died before the doctor came. #I (eat) Burger after I (take) my lunch.
Ans: I ate Burger after I had taken my lunch.<br>
slide9. Right forms of verb-16 If the words-“if, wish, as if , as though’’ express unreal past ,we have to use “were” as verb. #I wish I (was) a king.
Ans:I wish I were a king. #She behaved as if she (was) a doll.
