To Represent the People of the Country Selection of the government The parliament of India consist of the President, the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha MPs are elected from different political parties for RS and LS The government consists of two sets of political parties the ruling party and the opposition party The prime minister of India is the leader of ruling party in the Lok Sabha There is a council of ministers. These ministers take charge of the different departments The Rajya Sabh functions as the representative of the states in parliament To control, Guide and inform the government The session of the government is held in the Parliament. Question Our is an important mechanism to control the government. Asking Question of the government is a crucial task for every MP. The Opposition parties play a crucial role in the healthy functioning of the government. The MPs as the representatives of the people have a central role in controlling , guiding and informing parliament. Law-Making Law-Making is a significant function of the Parliament The different groups in the society raise the need for a particular law. In the process of making law, a resolution is passed by one house and supported by the another house of the parliament and after getting the assent of the president, a law is made. THE END THANKS
