Key Concept The role of the Victorian Parliament is the same as that of federal parliament However one key difference is that the parliament is elected by the people of Victoria and makes laws that represent their specific . The main role of the courts is to resolve disputes. Precedent develops as judges reach decisions in the disputes heard by the courts, and laws are made as a result.
