New Legislation Establishes Geologist In Training (GIT) RegistrationSenate Bill 404 signed into law June 2014 Law becomes effective January 1, 2015

What’s Changed in Licensure ?Applicants can begin GIT registration in their final year or following graduation with

at least 30 semester hours from an approved geology curriculum Allows

applicants to take the fundamentals portion of the geology licensure examination and be registered as a GITReduces professional geological work experience requirement to 5 yearsSlide7

Registration (licensure)
