Email Notice of Intent to Apply to Enrollment Services (After application period opens on January 15th) Email Enrollment Services at

Slide88PRE-REQUISITE GPA CALCULATIONSMinimum pre-requisite 2.5 GPA is required
Higher GPA is beneficialAdmission Average GPA = 3.815Admission GPA is calculated using grades received in the pre-requisite courses listed on previous slide. Excludes SDV101 since it’s Pass/Fail.
When transfer courses are used to satisfy the pre-requisite courses, the transfer grades are included in the calculation. If a student has multiple enrollments in a single course, the most recent grade is included in the calculation.
Slide9Dental Hygiene CurriculumCourses to CompleteThese courses are part of the dental hygiene curriculum and are recommended for completion prior to applying and are not calculated in the pre-requisite GPA. All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher HUM 201, Humanities elective
HTL 230, Principles of NutritionPSY 200, Principles of PsychologyStudents are encouraged to complete these courses prior to entering the dental hygiene program or during a summer term to lessen course workload and facilitate success. Slide11Pre-Entrance TestingTest of Essential Academic Skills (ATI TEAS)Requirement for admissionMust be taken through Thomas Nelson, but will be remotely proctored due to COVID-19 at your home.Test dates will be sent upon receipt and confirmation of your complete application packet by Enrollment Services. Test will start at 10am.Scores valid for three years and can be re-used (most recent is counted, not the highest score).
