1. Common Fitness and training equipment- Dr. Ashish kumar dubey ( assistant professor of csjm university kanpur)

2. Medicine ball A medicine ball is also known as exercise ball or fitness ball. Medicine ball is a weighted ball weighing between 2 to 20 pounds. It is roughly the diameter of the shoulders. (One foot approximately). It is often used for rehabilitation, strengthening, weight training to increase explosive strength. Medicine ball helps to improve muscular power and sports performance. The ball can be thrown, lifted or caught developing explosive movement, thus it improves overall performance. The players of basketball, volleyball, handball usually practise with this. Exercises with medicine ball are like Rock and Roll up, Lunge and Twist, Lunge with Overhead Pass, Squat Press, Overhead Reverse throw, Step Jump, Medicine Ball Sit-ups, Ball-fly, Shoulder Press etc.

4. Swiss Ball It is also named as fitness ball, health ball, gymnastic ball, yoga ball, birth ball, etc. It is a soft elastic ball filled with air. It has diameter around 15 to 30 inches (35 to 80 cm). It is often used to physical therapy, weight training, flexibility, stretching and exercises. With Swiss ball various types of exercises can be done like Ball Crunch, Ball Reverse Crunch, Ball Sit-up, Ball Abs-ollout, Ball Dumb bell Press, Ball Push-up, Ball Bridge, Ball Turning.

6. Thera Tube These are fine rubber tubes or bands which can be stretched. It provides alternative resistance as they are stretchable and elastic. It is used by athletes to develop strength and commonly used as weight training equipment. These tube exercises improve joint mobility and help to develop various muscles of body parts of hand, wrist, shoulder, chest, abdomen, legs, ankle.
