Supporting employees with terminal illnessFeedback from breakout sessions – employer support on legal needs:Understanding legalities can be complex, Deprivation of Liberty, Power of AttorneyImpact on performance / capability - reasonable approachsupport the Dying to Work campaign so that all employees battling terminal illness have adequate employment protection and have their death in service benefits protected for the loved ones they leave behindDifficult to know how to support employees supporting people with terminal diagnosis – they can't have sick pay because it's not them who are ill. In some cases the employee is signed off sick with stress/anxiety/depression as the mental health impacts of caring for a terminally loved one has significant mental health impact so sick in their own right
