  11 Players can play in a football match, 10 of which play outfield and 1 as the goalkeeper. 24 Players can be selected as the squad for the match. Depending on the league and country, a different amount of substitutions can be made during the match.   unless special rules are applied, you are allowed 3 substitutions during the match. Exceptions can be made but only if the player is seriously injured.  , Of course, red cards mean the end of the match for a player, and they cannot be replaced. If the number of players on the field gets too low, the referee can abandon the match at any time to be replayed later on.  

Numbers of Positions in a Team

The inner edges of the posts must be  7.32 metres  (8 yd) apart, and the lower edge of the crossbar must be  2.44 metres  (8 ft) above the ground. Nets are usually placed behind the goal, though are not required by the Laws. GOAL POST

Time Of Game Total 90 minutes Half time is 45 minutes. There are two halfs 1 st half and 2 nd half .45 + 45 =90 There is extra time which is given to bath half's for 2 minutes or till 8 minutes

How Numbers are used in SOCCER F ootball jersey numbers N umbered shirts were first worn in professional football by English clubs Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday in August 1928. At that time, starting players were wearing numbers 1 to 11 according to their positions on the field, and higher numbers for substitutes .

Fixed numbers assigned to each player, called squad numbers, for the duration of a competition was introduced first during the 1954  World Cup . 40 years later, The Football Association (governing body of English football) abandoned the required use of 1-11 for the starters and squad numbers became the rules during the 1993-94 English Premier League season. Nowadays most of the top football leagues in the world adopted the squad numbers system.

Methods of assigning JERSEY NUMBER

Different methods to assign a shirt number to a player exist: Assignment by football position The jersey number traditionally denotes the position of a soccer player. Despite the establishment of squad numbers, jerseys 1 to 11 are often given to the first choice line-up according to their positions on the field. Below is the traditional numbering of players in a modern 4-2-3-1 formation:
