Broadway

tap focuses on dance; it is widely performed in musical theater.

Rhythm tap focuses on musicality,

part of the jazz tradition.

Irish/Celtic Step Dance

is a style of performance dance with its roots in traditional Irish dance.

is generally characterized by a stiff upper body and quick and precise movements of the feet.

can be performed solo or by groups.

Uses Irish/Celtic music – fiddles, percussion, etc.
