Rules over music, medicine, health, prophecies, poetry and archery.
He is symbolized by arrows, laurels, the sun, and the lyre.
His sacred animals are the dolphin, the crow and the cow.
He is most known for the legend that every morning he drives a chariot across the sky bringing out the sun.Slide4
Ares
The
god of chaotic war, mindless death, and violence.
He is symbolized by the spear, and the helmet.
His sacred animals are the vulture and the dog.
Ares is not known for anything specific other than joining in war and killing heroes that oppose him.Slide5
Athena
Goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategies, justice, and the arts.
She only joins in war if it is for a just cause.
She is symbolized by the owl, the shield and the olive branch.
She is tasked with guiding mankind in the quest for wisdom and justice.Slide6
Artemis
Goddess of the moon, the hunt, women, and wildlife.
She is symbolized by cypress trees, dogs, deer, falcons and arrows.

Hades
Ruler of the underworld married to

He is symbolized by the Helm of Darkness, and the ram.
Hades’ animal is Cerberus the three headed dog that guards the gates of the underworld.
He is tasked with watching over the underworld and making sure no souls escape unpunished.Slide8

God of technology, craftsmen, metals, fires, and forges.
He is symbolized by fire, axes, and hammers.
He is tasked with creating weapons for the gods.

Goddess of women and marriage, she is queen of the heavens and Zeus’ wife as well as his sister.
She is symbolized by the pomegranate and the peacock.

The god of shepherds, travelers, merchants and thieves.
He is symbolized by the caduceus, winged sandals, winged helmet, tortoises and birds.

She gave up her throne on Mount Olympus for Dionysus when he became a god.
She is symbolized by the fireplace.

God of the ocean. Creator of horses and earthquakes.
He is symbolized by the trident and the horse.
He is tasked with keeping the seas balanced.Slide13
Zeus
Ruler of all the Greek gods and lord of the sky.
He is symbolized by the lightening bolt and the eagle.
He is tasked with keeping Olympus, the temple of all the gods and goddesses, and the sky, under control.
