INTRODUCTION AND DISCOVERY All the species of genus plasmodium are known as Malaria parasite as they cause the disease Malaria.Leveran , a french army surgeon first discover this parasite in 1880 in the blood of Malaria patient .Ronald Ross , an Indian millitary doctor found the parasite are transmitted by female anopheles mosquito to human in 1898.
